Samantha Aldana

Samantha Aldana is a Belizean-American director and writer based in Los Angeles. Her work blends magical realism, fantasy, and genre storytelling with a dreamlike visual language, often exploring folklore, transformation, and the uncanny.

Her debut feature, SHAPELESS, was selected as a fellow of The Gotham and premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. She directed ANGELS for the Disney/Hulu series Bite Size Halloween, which premiered at the Overlook Film Festival and went on to screen at over a dozen festivals internationally.

Her upcoming feature, LITTLE LYING WILD, a dark fantasy set in Belize, has received support and recognition from Berlinale Talents, the Frontières Co-Production Market, NALIP, and the Sitges Film Festival.

Samantha is drawn to creating immersive worlds where the familiar slips into the magical, bringing that same sensibility to both narrative and commercial work.
